Camping Opportunities!
Pack 3029 Cub Scouts love to camp!  See below for upcoming events.  I hope to see you there!

April 14-15, 2018: Cub Adventure Camp
At Camp brown; Cost is $25 per scout/sibling & $15 per adult for early registration.  Sign up by April 2nd for early bird registration!  Otherwise cost goes up $5 per scout/sibling (not covered by certificate).
Fun scout activities planned, including Archery, BB guns, crafts, games, and STEM!  
Go to the Council Calendar to sign up.  While you are signing up, you can click on the 'Resources' tab and click the 'Leader's Guide' for details and the itinerary.  Please let your den leader know and they can tell you who else in your den is going!

May 12-13, 2018: Chuck Wagon Skills Day!

At Camp Brown; This council event is a fun filled day of pulling the Pack 29 Chuck Wagons around Camp Brown while traveling to fun activities.  This can be a one day event or a camp out.  This event fills up fast!  Go to the Council Calendar to sign up.  Then email Dave Corl to let him know you are going as this is a team-style event.  Sign up as soon as they will let you!!  Cost is $25 per scout/sibling & $15 per adult for early registration.  Sign up by May 7th for early bird registration!  Otherwise cost goes up $5 per scout/sibling (not covered by certificate).

May 31-June 3, 2018 (Daily): Cub Twilight Camp

This council event has historically provided fun activities for scouts to participate in.  The theme for 2018 is 'Passport to Adventure!"  It will be at the Flywheels Museum from 5:45pm to 8:00pm each day.  Cost is $65 per scout/sibling for early registration.  Otherwise cost goes up $10 per scout/sibling.  More info to come.  You can keep updated at the Council Calendar.

June 2018: CubScout/Webelos ResidentCamp

This council event camp has tons of Activities - Swimming, Cookouts, BB guns, archery, and more!  This has also been a great way for Webelos and other scouts to get a head start on their requirements in the past.

 

There are three sessions to choose from - June 7-10 at Camp Brown, June 14-17 at Camp Brown, & June 21-24 at Camp Brown.

 

 

Session#1 - June 7-10 at Camp Brown, Register by April 30th for the early bird cost - $95 per scout, $50 per adult.  After that costs go up to $120 per scout and $75 per adult (certificate will only cover early bird cost)!

 

Go to the Council Session #1 Calendar to sign up.  Let Dave Corl know if you will be attending as soon as possible (and which session).

June 23-26, 2018: Family T.O.S.S. Camp

This council event camp is for the whole family.  Formerly a 'Resident Camp', this 'Technology & Outdoor Scout Skills' camp located at Camp Hansen (near Kirwin) has plenty of activities to participate in - swimming, shooting sports, STEM activities in their new technology building!  Their stated aim is to maximize fun and learning.  

Cost is $100 per scout/sibling, $60 per adult.  Go to the Council Calendar to sign up.  Let Dave Corl know if you will be attending as soon as possible.

January 20-21, 2017: Pinewood Derby Camp-in

Our Pack will have a Pre-Race Camp-in.  Come and camp with us Friday evening from 7:00pm to Saturday at 8:00am at the Christ the King Church (just south of the Central Mall).  Pizza and games will be provided and when we wake up, the races will soon begin!  Click here to sign up (please specify how many).


December 9, 2017: Christmas on the Prairie
At Camp brown; although not an overnight camp, this event will have fun crafts, snacks, and activities for the scouts.  Santa sometimes comes for a visit! Go to the Council Calendar for more information and to sign up.  No health form needed.

October 21-22, 2017: Grizzly Halloween
At Camp brown; During the day they have the regular Camp Brown activities (bb guns, archery, games, crafts).  However, the fun does not stop there.  At the camp fire, they have a Halloween Costume Contest.  Always a fun event.  If you wish to camp over night, you are more than welcome to.  This council camping event fills up fast!  Sign-up right after September 1st.  Go to the Council Calendar to sign up.  Cost is $25 per scout/sibling and $15 per adult by Oct. 13th -after cost goes up $5.

October 6-8, 2017: Council Camperall
This council event is at Kanopolis Lake.  Council Camperalls happen every 3 to 4 years and is for all Cub and Boy scouts.  These are huge events with plenty of fun activities!  Go to the Council Calendar for more information and to sign up.  Click here for their flyer.  Please let Dave know and he will provide you with your health forms submitted earlier this year and let you know who else from the Pack will be going.

July 15-16, 2017: Fun with Son Camp
This council event is at camp Brown.  It is another opportunity to do activities like BB guns, archery,crafts and more!  It is a fairly relaxed time to spend with your son.  Go to the Council Calendar to sign up.  Please let Dave know and he will provide you with your health forms submitted earlier this year and let you know who else from the Pack will be going.

June 2017: CubScout/Webelos ResidentCamp

This council event camp has tons of Activities - Swimming,Cookouts, BB guns, archery, and more!  This is also a great way forWebelos and other scouts to get a head start on their requirements.

 

There are four sessions to choose from - June 8-11 at Camp Brown,June 15-18 at Camp Brown, June22-25 at Camp Brown, & June 24-26 at Camp Hansen.  

 

As a Pack, we are choosing the June 24-26 at Hansen.  Ifyou cannot make it to the chosen date, feel free to attend the other campsessions.

 

Session #4 - June 24-26 at Camp Hansen, Register by May 20 for the early bird cost -$75 per scout, $45 per adult.  After that costs go up to $90 per scout and $50 per adult (certificate will only cover early bird cost)!

April 22-23, 2016: Spring Pack Camp

Pack 29's yearly spring campout is great relaxing & fun time.  This event will be at Armburst Farm (486 27 Rd, Brookville KS) off of exit 233 - about 40 minutes from Salina.  We will meet at Meadowlark at 9:00 and caravan to the camp.  This will be a very basic camp - one outhouse, some running potable water, and one electrical hookup.  There are activities planned through the day including exploring some sandstone caves!  Please bring a sack lunch.  Dinner will be provided.  Please sign up by April 17th so we can plan attendance. 


I am requesting a $5 sign-up fee for food cost.


Should inclement weather be predicted then we may aim for just a day trip with no overnight or cancel.  Contact Dave Corl to sign up.

March 18, 2017: Salina Liberty Popcorn $750 Club Party!

Free for the scouts (and 1 parent) that have sold $750+ in popcorn!  There will Football, movies, a camp-out, and bounce houses!  Cost is $13/youth & $16/adult for tickets and $20/youth, $23/adult for the sleepover.  Reserve before March 10th.  More details for this event is on the council website (click here).  Save the date!

February,?? 2017: Mid-Winter Pack Camp!
Pack 29 organizes an exciting indoor campout at various places each year - Rolling Hills zoo, Wichita Aviation museum, and camp Webster to name a few.  This event is still in planning stage.  We will let you know as soon as we get the location.

February 6-7, 2015: Mid-Winter Pack Camp!
Pack 29 organized an exciting indoor campout at at the rolling hills zoo.  Everyone will participate in a specially designed overnight that will include Australian-themed activities, tour the zoo, nocturnal visit through the museum with flashlights, and a movie in the museum's unique media globe.

The adventure begins at 7:00pm on Saturday and and ends at 9:00am the following morning.  Due to limited space, registration is open to scouts and one parent first.  Deadline will be January 30th (at the Pinewood Derby).  If there are spots remaining after that, registration will open up to other family member.  Final registration deadline is February 2nd.  Click here to sign-up for this event (please specify how many).

Cost: Scout cost is paid by the Pack ($37.50), Guardian cost will be $27.50.
