Uniforms

The Boy Scouts of America has always been a uniformed body, and that is one reason it stands out above all the rest.  We wear the uniform because it is a means of identifying ourselves openly with the principles to which we are committed:  character development, citizenship training, and physical and mental fitness.  The uniform is not intended to hide our individuality. It is a bond which ties millions of scouts throughout the United States.

Pack 88 requires uniforms to be worn for all Den and Pack functions unless otherwise specified.  Cub Scouts purchase their own uniform shirt, some patches, and accessories. To get started, you should purchase:

  1. Scout Shirt
  2. Scouting World Crest
  3. Mayflower Council Shoulder Patch
  4. Pack Numbers Patch ("88")
  5. Belt and Buckle
  6. Hat (optional)

Those who are unable to afford the Basic Scouting Uniform may contact Pack Leadership for confidential assistance.  To purchase your Scout supplies, visit http://www.scoutstuff.org/ or the Scout Store at Sayre Scout Reservation at 411 Unquity Road in Milton.   Visit http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/CubScouts/Uniform/cubscout.aspx for more information on the scouting uniform.
